Heated Weekend Detox: Taught by Erin Tonda
Indulged a little too much over the weekend? Feeling sluggish, dull or heavy? Join in this heated, detoxifying Sunday yoga flow to renew energy, improve strength and flexibility, and prepare for the week ahead. Learn to protect and strengthen the joints of the body to experience renewed movement with ease and joy. Suggestions will be made and poses implemented with the support of props to accommodate dysfunctional joints dye to injury, aging issues, etc. Explore holding poses as we gradually apply load to the joints to increase strength, as well as short flowing sequences with attention to the transition from one thing to the next. Class also focuses on the ability to recruit the core muscles for balance poses and the reminder of the essential breath in all that we do. Mindful Unwindings: Taught by Kristin Fiore
This Monday evening practice is both active and restorative as we seek to unwind the stress held in our system and delve into our experience of living. Class begins with mantra (chanting), pranayama (yogic breathwork), and a seated meditation before moving into asana (postures). Props will be used in active and restful poses to help unravel tension and connect to the intelligence of the body. This class focuses on activating and strengthening core muscles which are the foundation of all bodily movement. Care will be taken to balance both strength and relaxation to develop a functional and happy body. Flowing postures and short sequences will be used, as well as certain targeted Pilates-like exercises, as we approach the core and begin to stretch and strengthen the back with a secondary focus on the shoulders and hips. Inherent in Judy's classes is the reminder that "all is connected" with awareness of the essential breath in all we do. Yin Yoga: Taught by Cynthia Hoss
Slow down with this quiet yin practice that targets the deeper connective tissue with the aim of increasing circulation and improving overall flexibility. Poses are held for 3-5 minutes with very little muscular engagement, supported by props and the gentle guidance of Cynthia. Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to stronger, more dynamic (yang) styles of yoga and exercise such as running, walking, hiking, and biking. Relax into deep stretches in this meditative yoga practice. Beginning Transitions is for students looking to reinforce their knowledge of basic yoga poses and flow before transitioning to Down Dog drop-in classes! This class dives into the finer details of postures and breath work and continues to offer modifications as we link poses together with awareness and ease. Prenatal Yoga: Taught by Johanna Potter
Prenatal yoga is an ideal way to support your body, mind, and well-being during pregnancy. Work with postures to improve balance and circulation, tone and strengthen muscles, and ease into the changes that are taking place. Learn breathing techniques and relaxation, empowering yourself with useful tools to stay focused and calm during labor and on into motherhood! Join in this safe and supportive weekly yoga practice to help alleviate some of the common discomforts and stresses of pregnancy. The Warrior's Path: 8 Steps to Living Your Yoga: Taught by Kara Aubin
We learn yoga on the mat, but ultimately our work is to take yoga off the mat and into our life. This work of living your yoga is not for the faint of heart, it takes a a Warrior's determination to return to the path again and again. This three semester, asana-based series with Kara Aubin uses the 8 limbs of Patanjali's Yoga Sutras as a framework to explore how we can embody our yoga. Each 4 week semester class gives both newer and experienced yogis an opportunity to deepen their yoga practice using the ancient wisdom of the Yoga Sutras in a practical, hands-on manner. $65 for each 4 week session: Thursday 7:00pm - 8:45pm. We invite you to join Kara on Thursday, March 30 for a FREE, hour-long introduction to Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. The Yoga Sutras are the text that codified the philosophy of yoga more than 2,000 years ago. Kara will introduce the structure of the Sutras, the four chapters and their focus, as well as its philosophical foundation that defines the practice of yoga that we have come to know and love. This free session is a recommended introduction for students who will be attending or are interested in The Warriors Path: 8 Steps to Living Your Yoga. During these four weeks we start at the beginning of the 8 Stages of Yoga with the Yamas and explore how we can live our yoga off the mat by cultivating these five observances of evolutionary behavior on the mat. The Yamas will shape your relationship to the external world, and in turn shape your relationship to your internal world. Asana, pranayama and meditation will be our tools to experience the teachings of the Yoga Sutras, a text that has guided the practice of yogis for thousands of years.

During these four weeks we embark on the second of the 8 Stages of Yoga, the Niyamas, and explore how we can live our yoga off the mat by cultivating these five ways of thinking on the mat. The Niyamas serve as a guide for the personal work of yoga, where we begin to see our worldview shaped by our practice. Asana, pranayama and meditation will be our tools to experience the teachings of the Yoga Sutras. Completion of The Warrior's Path Part 1 is recommended.

During these four weeks we utilize the foundation built by the Yamas and the Niyamas to take a subtle look at the practices of asana and pranayama that ultimately culminate in meditation. Here the practices begin to yield subtle and powerful change on many levels of our experience. Asana, pranayama and meditation will be our tools to explore the foundational teachings that have guided the practice of yogis for thousands of years.
