Joint Care & Balance: Taught by Cynthia Hoss
Learn to protect and strengthen the joints of the body to experience renewed movement with ease and joy. Suggestions will be made and poses implemented with the support of props to accommodate dysfunctional joints due to injury, aging issues, etc. Explore holding poses as we gradually apply load to the joints to increase strength, as well as short flowing sequences with attention to the transition from one thing to the next. This mid-week practice combines Vinyasa Flow, Yin, and Restorative yoga poses. Slow flowing sequences involve seated, standing and balancing postures for strength and endurance. Therapeutic Core & Back: Taught by Cynthia Hoss
This class focuses on activating and strengthening core muscles which are the foundation of all bodily movement. Care will be taken to balance both strength and relaxation to develop a functional and happy body. Slow down with this quiet yin practice that targets the deeper connective tissue with the aim of increasing circulation and improving overall flexibility. Poses are held for 3-5 minutes with very little muscular engagement, supported by props and the gentle guidance of Cynthia. Prenatal yoga is an ideal way to support your body, mind, and well-being during pregnancy. Work with postures to improve balance and circulation, tone and strengthen muscles, and ease into the changes that are taking place. Learn breathing techniques and relaxation, empowering yourself with useful tools to stay focused and calm during labor and on into motherhood! Join in this safe and supportive weekly yoga practice to help alleviate some of the common discomforts and stresses of pregnancy. MamaCore: Taught by Dr. Kate Antoniotti
This class blends the wisdom of Yoga with the principles of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (functional rehab) specific to the needs of postpartum mamas. We will move slowly, breathe deeply, and connect to our bodies with a focus on diastasis healing, core strengthening, and pelvic floor re-integration. MamaCore is both a class and a movement: we recognize that women's healthcare is often lacking the guidance and support mothers need in order to understand the unique changes of their postpartum body.
